I know several people with pronghorn charges.Anyone get a hit for a pronghorn tag yet?
He logged back in to his portal and checked. It says he applied for the early archery. Maybe the credit card company is just slow?Page 10 of the regs................
Last year it took 13 points minimum for a resident to draw the early archery tag in unit 10.
Did he accidently put in for the rifle tag which took 22 points minimum last year?

Lucky sucker!! That was supposed to be my tag-ha ha!!Just got hit for an elk tag!!
So you are saying I still have a chance. Very very small but hopeful. ????Take this for what it's worth.....which may be nothing, but I talked with an outfitter this morning and they said that "there are some issues that will take some time to work out and that CC hits are far from done". I have no reason to doubt the individual or the quality of their knowledge. I also don't want to give up hope that 21 points was a lock for a Unit 1 archery tag....haha.
Doesn’t apply anymore. My dad was in with 18 points and a lifetime license for 10 early archery. Should have been more than enough to guarantee the tag but no card hit yet. Were there changes made to the lifetime license getting resident draw odds?
As a NR, sounds like a 27 tag!I'm in! 20 points, 3a3c early archery first choice and 27 early archery second choice.
That's honestly what I'm really hoping for!As a NR, sounds like a 27 tag!
So I still have hope!Just got hit for an elk tag!!
... "there are some issues that will take some time to work out and that CC hits are far from done".
Congrats! What unit(s) did you apply for?Just got hit for an elk tag!!
????Archery 1 and 5a
7 points.
Dang it man !!! Dirty dog Doyle's getting to elk hunt againArchery 1 and 5a
7 points.
We have definitely been blessed…Dang it man !!! Dirty dog Doyle's getting to elk hunt again
I've drawn with 11, 12 and 25 points in my lifetime for the three LE tags I've had. Seems like you guys go every year and there's like what... 5 of you who put in !!!
Jealous to say the least and looking forward to hearing and seeing all the pics and stories
Cheers, Pete
Yes Sir, This Is why I applied this way. I was done waiting with all these points, The other units I was targeting are now looking like it's going to take 30 points. I have already spent $2k plus in License fees. Now I can put in for other easier to draw tags in the future. Now to deal with my 21 for deer.So it sounds like 21 points for unit 1 NR archery got into partial odds in the bonus pass. Some guys drew and some didn’t with 21. 20 was a no go. Last year 19 was partial (30-40% ish) so we’re looking at 2 solid points of creep. Sucks.
I am sorry to hear about your wife and i hope you have a great hunt.I got hit last night for archery bull in 5BS. Have hunted the unit for 35 years but first draw in 8 years. My hunting buddy just found out he has a heart problem and will turn his tag in. I am 73 and my wife died last year from cancer so I will spend as long as it takes on this hunt. Likely my last hunt for elk before the dirt nap. Looking forward to creeping around one more time.

Apparently you didn't read the whole thread.Doesn’t apply anymore.
It never last two weeks. Charges are most likely done after today, maybe a few trickle in tomorrow then results will post early to mid next week.Is it over or does it last for the next 2 weeks. Crazy way AZ does it
My CC got hit with a "pending" charge Tuesday morning. It is still listed as "pending" late thursday afternoon. Most pending charges typically turn into regular charges within 24 hours. It never last two weeks. This sounds like it could be something that has happened? I recall someone posting that an outfitter told them there was a problem that would take time to straighten out. Last year or the year prior, Idaho forgot to put the Non-resident 10% cap in when they did the draw. What a nightmare that was for people who were notified that they had been draw only to have the tag taken away.I am in the exact same situation as sanjuanslayer, 18 points, lifetime license holding nonresident. I put in for 3a3c early archery which took 14 points last year. No hit for me. 5 points of creep in one year seems very highly unlikely to me. The only thing I can think of is that us nonresident lifetime holders are not getting put in the resident pool with the new system.
If that does happen you can get the draw reports and show them they screwed up and they will give you a tag. Sadly, it happens more often than you think and most people don't know how to go about getting a tag from them. It's happened to a few friends before and azgfd tries to claim their bank rejected the charge and that's why they weren't drawn but with a letter from the bank saying there was no record of a rejected charge at that time, they have no choice but to give you a tag.I am in the exact same situation as sanjuanslayer, 18 points, lifetime license holding nonresident. I checked with my bank yesterday and they confirmed there had not been any attempts. I just cannot wait for the summary to go public! If that does happen you can get the draw reports and show them they screwed up and they will give you a tag. Have you confirmed your choices were correct and you for sure have 18 points? (Sorry to ask just know a lot of people that think they have more than they do)I checked with my bank yesterday and they confirmed there had not been any attempts. I just cannot wait for the summary to go public!
Yes, choices correct, points 18... I even called azgfd draw department yesterday and he confirmed everything was good with my application.Have you confirmed your choices were correct and you for sure have 18 points? (Sorry to ask just know a lot of people that think they have more than they do)
Well thats scary to imagine such a point jump but I've heard several guides are having high point holder apply for archery tags and then telling them to use some fake injury to get a crossbow permit.Yes, choices correct, points 18... I even called azgfd draw department yesterday and he confirmed everything was good with my application.
If true, great integrity.Well thats scary to imagine such a point jump but I've heard several guides are having high point holder apply for archery tags and then telling them to use some fake injury to get a crossbow permit.
Interesting, my dad confirmed his point total and choices in his portal as well.Yes, choices correct, points 18... I even called azgfd draw department yesterday and he confirmed everything was good with my application.
I'd be surprised if that many residents are planning on booking with an outfitter. I guess time will tell.Well thats scary to imagine such a point jump but I've heard several guides are having high point holder apply for archery tags and then telling them to use some fake injury to get a crossbow permit.
Also several people whether outfitter or not are jumping on the crossbow bandwagon because they don't to keep chasing the points.I'd be surprised if that many residents are planning on booking with an outfitter. I guess time will tell.
But did they put you in. In 2016 when the draw results came out. It didn’t say that I was drawn or not drawn. I made a call to the DGF and was told that a supervisor would call me back. He never called back. But 3 days later a tag arrived in the mail. It was for a low draw odds hunt. I only had 2 points so I thought they would just give me a point. Very surprised with the tag.Yes, choices correct, points 18... I even called azgfd draw department yesterday and he confirmed everything was good with my application.
From what I understand, if you get selected because somebodies card was declined, you actually get their tag and tag#.Yesterday my debit card got hit for a resident elk tag. Today it still showing pending. I'm sure it was due to a rejected credit card and I was next in line. The same thing happened to me in a prior year and when the tag showed up it was tag #58 of 350 (deer tag). I figured it would have been tag #350.
My Dad has trouble checking his credit card for hits because of the pending status. It only appears on his transaction list after it's charged through...and that could be next Monday based on most prior years I think.
I didn't get an E-tag, my portal account still shows pending. Is G&F manually updating the portal???Results are showing if you are signed up for E-tag
Tag numbers are also showing on the portal
Your account has shown pending since you applied. They are trying to grt everyone to switch to e tag so they are holding off on uploading results to the portal.I didn't get an E-tag, my portal account still shows pending. Is G&F manually updating the portal???
This is very disconcerting. I purchased a lifetime license for my son as a graduation gift. He recently moved out of state for a new job and has no vacation time built up so we only bought BP this draw. G&F is going to have some explaining to do if what you are alluding to is true.I am in the exact same situation as sanjuanslayer, 18 points, lifetime license holding nonresident. Lifetime license holders that are nonresidents only are allowed to draw tags allocated to nonresidents. You do not become a resident just because you bought a lifetime license, even if you used to be a resident. This is very disconcerting. I purchased a lifetime license for my son as a graduation gift. False. Lifetime license holders no matter where they live stay in the resident pool. They simply pay NR prices.Lifetime license holders that are nonresidents only are allowed to draw tags allocated to nonresidents. Not sure exactly what hunts you went for but tag 10 won't tell you anything since any of those tags in those units have more than 10 tags.I was just paying my CC bill this week & saw the $650 pending charge for AZ! Looks like I'll be going elk hunting this yr! I don't have the electronic tag selected. Does tag# 10 give a clue if I got my 1st or 2nd choice? My hunt begins 9/29 & is either 15A/15B/18A or 3B. Congrats to all who drew.
Brutal! Not too long ago, late archery was 100%. Late rifle was darn near a guarantee with a couple points. All 5 in my family got nothing. We are residents. Very frustrating. We put in for late archery, rifle, cow tags, youth hunts. Nada.
My Dad or I got drawn, we put in for separate units but on the same card. But literally just noticed my draw had late 27 archery instead of early 27 archery as second choice ? lol I don’t know how I missed it on my app but apparently it happens ?My CC just got hit for $650 from AZ Game & Fish!!!! I'm finally going elk hunting in AZ!!!!
Today is my birthday - what a great a birthday present!!!
18 NR points
1st choice was 23N Archery
2nd choice was 27 Archery
I hope I didn't make a mistake on my application and put down the wrong unit number!!
I messed up on my deer application several years ago. I got in a hurry and somehow entered the wrong unit number. Ended up drawing a tag with my 13 deer points for a unit that had left over tags!!!! Luckily I had point guard so was able to return it and keep my points. My Dad or I got drawn, we put in for separate units but on the same card. But literally just noticed my draw had late 27 archery instead of early 27 archery as second choice ? lol I don’t know how I missed it on my app but apparently it happens ?
Interesting....I've been signed up for E-Tag since last year and my results aren't showing up. Still says pending. Results are showing if you are signed up for E-tag
Tag numbers are also showing on the portal

I'm sorry, but my mind went somewhere else.Either me or my wife got very lucky.
Interesting. I misread that years ago. Ima get my lifetime license then.As posted earlier in this thread. Straight from the regsView attachment 105481
On the portal, under draw, you'll see pending for each species. Click the details link, it shows a tag # but not a hunt #.How do you see what number tag you drew ? I can’t figure that out. I did not E-Tag
Yep, won’t even try and figure it out. But I do have tag #2 ?On the portal, under draw, you'll see pending for each species. Click the details link, it shows a tag # but not a hunt #.
Why oh why they did that, nobody will ever know
So, if I understand you correctly, if I go to details, and it says "No tag", that's saying I didn't draw, again? Cool, time to plan for deer.On the portal, under draw, you'll see pending for each species. Click the details link, it shows a tag # but not a hunt #.
Why oh why they did that, nobody will ever know
My son also has NR Tag #2 on either late rifle 23 or 10 and did not sign up for the E-tag option until last night. I told him he would have to call the office to see if they would confirm which unit he will be hunting or wait until everything is formally updated.Yep, won’t even try and figure it out. But I do have tag #2 ?
How many points did he have?My son also has NR Tag #2 on either late rifle 23 or 10 and did not sign up for the E-tag option until last night. I told him he would have to call the office to see if they would confirm which unit he will be hunting or wait until everything is formally updated.
My bet it’ll be on the portal tomorrow. My son also has NR Tag #2 on either late rifle 23 or 10 and did not sign up for the E-tag option until last night. I told him he would have to call the office to see if they would confirm which unit he will be hunting or wait until everything is formally updated.
The last three years it took a min of 17 points to draw as a NR. With point creep there was a very good chance that it would take at least 18 points, if not more, to draw in the bonus pass. With 18 points it will be 27. You will have drawn in the bonus pass and, technically, without enough points to be in the bonus pass for 23N you never really had a chance to draw 23N
He had 17 points which should have given him the 10 tag, but maybe he drew the 23.How many points did he have?
Well I'll confirm for you that he drew unit 10. Tag #2 would have been in the bonus pass and last year it took 20 points to make the bonus pass in 23. Unit 10 late only took 11 points for the bonus pass.He had 17 points which should have given him the 10 tag, but maybe he drew the 23.
That is what we were thinking. Either way it should be fun hunt in addition to our normal Colorado hunt.Well I'll confirm for you that he drew unit 10. Tag #2 would have been in the bonus pass and last year it took 20 points to make the bonus pass in 23. Unit 10 late only took 11 points for the bonus pass.
schmee24, check with the AZ Elk Society if you have point guard. I did the same thing on 23 late last year with 15 points by accident. My Dad or I got drawn, we put in for separate units but on the same card. But literally just noticed my draw had late 27 archery instead of early 27 archery as second choice ? lol I don’t know how I missed it on my app but apparently it happens ?
When someone at the Government says not to worry, you know you better worry. lolAZ game and fish customer service said this morning not to worry about the tag numbers disappearing. If you got a charge, you were drawn. A bunch of drawn applicants, including myself, can no longer see the tag #, it just says "pending" and "no tag."
Haha, yes you do have a point there... mine said tag #56 now no tag. And I did get a charge last week. When someone at the Government says not to worry, you know you better worry. lol
Ours showed Tag #3. Now, "No tag".
I almost look forward to what they will mess up as the draw itself I enjoy hearing all the complaints and memes that come from it. Guess I’m weird.Always a crap show with the AZ draw system and process - never know what will happen!!
I had the 18a a couple yrs ago. Very tuff huntI was just paying my CC bill this week & saw the $650 pending charge for AZ! Looks like I'll be going elk hunting this yr! I don't have the electronic tag selected. Does tag# 10 give a clue if I got my 1st or 2nd choice? My hunt begins 9/29 & is either 15A/15B/18A or 3B. Congrats to all who drew.
Im sure they all want us to sign up for the eTag option. Having the results there first is a way to get people to sign up.It's just them hiding the number to force people over to the etag app. I'd venture to guess they didn't realize it would show the tag # on the portals when they uploaded results to the etag system. Now they figured out how to hide tag numbers and from here on out portals won't update for several days after the etag system. Naturally making people want to sign up for etag.
we got a charge, showing tag 65, and 66, now no tag as well.Haha, yes you do have a point there... mine said tag #56 now no tag. And I did get a charge last week.
hopefully just a formality.
They withdrew all the tags and charges because someone messed up and now they have to do the draw over again. Another credit card update deadline is looming........we got a charge, showing tag 65, and 66, now no tag as well.
I would like that. They withdrew all the tags and charges because someone messed up and now they have to do the draw over again. Another credit card update deadline is looming........
So I still have a chance!!They withdrew all the tags and charges because someone messed up and now they have to do the draw over again. Another credit card update deadline is looming........
Hmmm. You make it sound like AZGFD has a plan when it comes to the draw. I think you're overestimating their planning capabilities and foresight! It's just them hiding the number to force people over to the etag app. I'd venture to guess they didn't realize it would show the tag # on the portals when they uploaded results to the etag system. Now they figured out how to hide tag numbers and from here on out portals won't update for several days after the etag system. Naturally making people want to sign up for etag.
At first, I wasn't sure if you were serious or joking. Sad thing is I actually had reason to believe you!I called today and was told they have to do the whole draw over again. Credit cards will be credited back. And cards must be valid for the redraw. Wish everyone luck.
