Chalk Creek/Kamas Goat

Wasn't expecting it but ended up getting lucky and pulling a tag. Anyways, is there anybody who has experience with this hunt? My unit is basically everything west of the highway from the boarder to Kamas. I will be looking in to access on some of the various cwmu's where the majority of the goats are found but will spend most my time on the public. Anyone have any experience with this hunt or any general areas to start scouting? The highway opens next week and I'd like to get up and look around.

Private land should not be and issue for you at all on this hunt. From my experience all the goats are on public. You may know something I don't though. Beautiful unit, you will have a blast. Good luck.

I have seen enough goats on public and within fairly easy hiking distances if you drive some god awful roads, I would be like a kid in a candy store on this hunt.
