Chicago Gun Ban Case

Interesting read. If I took one thing away from the article, it's that since they imposed the ban in 1982, gun crimes skyrocketed. (in a nutshell) Crazy part is when you read some of these people's quotes who support the ban, they're so contradictory it's hard to follow their logic.

Anyway, let's hope the law abiding folks in Chicago win this one.

Defeating the Chicago ban is a bonus in this case. The real issue is incorporation of the second amendment against the states via the due process cluas or through the privilages and immunities clause of the 14th ammendment......When that happens you will have a guaranteed right to "bear arms" what kind and how (ccw or loaded open carry) is still up in the air. Depends on how well SCOTUS defines it in its desicion, but we will have some sort of "bear".

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
