I was wondering how many of you guys got the "cicada plague" go'in on in your home state? Here in Maryland, we got the boogers by the tons. They're so loud, they sound like wet powerlines all hours of the day. The birds are lov'in it and fish'in gotten real good too!!
Is this just an eastern thing or is the mid-west and west experiencing the same phenomenon??? x(

I don't think we have them here in Utah that I know of, but I listen to a radio show thats based out of Washington D.C. I think, the Don and Mike Show and one of them was eating Cicadas and he said they taste like peanut butter.

I am in NW Indiana and have yet to see any so far. I know they will be here though because I am old enough to remember their two prior visits.

Any other midwesterners see any of the critters yet?

We have them in Utah, they hatch every year. Our hatch is pretty small, infact it should be going on right now. Usually the only thing we get from it is some good fishing for a couple of weeks on the Green River
