I will have 4 points this year for elk and Deer in CO. I have only been putting in for points and figuring I would put in for a couplebmorebyears till trying to draw. If that's even possible. I have hunted Colorado a few times 15 or so years ago and don't know it well. I am open to any part of the stae or any unit. I would like to do a horseback wilderness hunt, so I will either hire a guide or hire a pack service. I'm open to rifle or bow but would prefer a rifle on at least one of them. Any suggestions on units and or outfitters to start the research process would be great. I know without a ton of points I will not draw one of the con infant tags, but I don't have the desire to wait 15-20 years for one of those tags

Alright Jack, your not in trouble. You didn't draw my son's tag.
Sounds like we are going to CO at least twice this year.
Once for the Mt. Goat tag I drew and once for my son's deer hunt.

What unit did your son draw a tag in. I've hunted the San Juans if you need some info. No luck for me in the NM draw but I can count on Colorado to get me going hunting.

I have been told I am not allowed to mention units any more. It is a southern unit and my wife got a real nice buck there last year.

LAST EDITED ON May-11-13 AT 09:38PM (MST)[p]Struckout again. Based on historical odds, i had about a 30% chance. Looks like i'll be buying a landowner voucher. 0-10 so far and will likely be 0-18 once Nevada and Utah come out with their results. I need Idaho or CA to come through.
