CO Tag Numbers

When does the state come out with the # of tags they will be isssuing for each unit? Thx

They're out. I saw them, but don't know how to tell you how to access them. There are large drops in deer herd size estimates and corresponding drops in allocations, about 25% in some areas of western Co. You would think that after this extremely mild winter, the deer herds would have increased a little, but they're showing lower numbers. It's possible their aerial surveys over winter range picked up less animals because they weren't bunched up on as much as usual in those areas due to the mild weather. It's getting harder to draw tags in units that traditionally had 100% success rates.

Both are correct. I think the #'s are suggested and they will vote them in on the 10th. They usually vote on what they have recomended.
