We drew Colorado first season elk tags and second season deer tags in unit 41. We would like to rent two horses for our hunt, to carry my fat carcass up the mountain and hopefully to carry elk quarters and deer down the mountain. Does anyone know of any ranches or outfitters in the Rifle-Glenwood Springs area who rent horses? I found horse rentals in the Meeker area, but would like to find someone closer to where we are hunting. We have a horse trailer and are familiar with handling and taking care of horses. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
