Colorado Unit 18 - 2nd Season

I’m coming to the group seeking any guidance for Unit 18 deer, 2nd season rifle this year. I’ve spent some time putting in my own miles but welcome any info from those willing to share. Physically, I’ll have no issues and I’m willing to spend the whole hunt for a mature deer, regardless of score.

I’ve hunted there plenty in the past with the fires hard to say where they will be but keep close to the fire lines the deer aren’t afraid to be in the open I’ve taken a few with my bow in a burn by woodlands park in the past good luck also hunting towards the kremmling side has been good for me in the past especially above big horn park but it is private acres through the gate so it’s a long jaunt if you don’t have acces some real beasts in there

It’s called public land for a reason and private land keeps all us regular hunters from accessing many acres if you are willing to walk the extra miles good for you and good luck help your fellow hunters out we are all in the same boat
