Had a great time with my family on this hunt and learned that 9 days in the mountains with your 4 year old son is quite the adventure, but well worth it. After spending 9 days up there I realized that the 2 points I spent on this unit in 2001 was a bargain and had an opportunity at several quality bucks. The 8 points and 9 years of putting in this time felt like a bit of a rip off. In 2001 we would see between 20 to 40 4-points a day(have video to prove it)with a couple potential shooters seen each day. This year the 5 largest bucks we saw were 3-points and 2-points, of course the 2-points were ridiculous with one being over 30 wide and the other carring incredible mass from start to finish. In the end we saw less than 12 bucks with 4 points on each side or more. And more than half were young and small. Overall it was a fun hunt in a beautiful place, just not worth it to me to try and draw it a 3rd time. Guess its now time to play the Elk lottery.
