As a young guy I used to kill every coyote I saw. As an old man I mostly just take their photo anymore.

Here are a few photos I have taken in the past year or two.

Its hard for some people to really understand nature, but the way it was set up, there is not ONE living thing, that does not depend on some other living thing, to give its life, so that its life can continue. Coyotes are no exception. And by the way, that is an elk calf, not a deer.

I really don't know what to say on that. Just be sure of your target this fall. The Fish and Game have animal identification flip charts available that you can use to identify each animal you see. It's called the Gieco animal Flip Chart, "it saves you a ton of money on citations" they say. If you see an animal and you can identify it, cross-reference it with the tags in your pocket. If they match up, go ahead and shoot.
