Well guys you can't have it both ways. The Sarah Palin of 2012 Michelle Bachmann says she won't run for reelection in spite of already beginning her 2014 reelection adds. Do any of you Tea Party people think it could have anything to do with the congressional ethics committee investigation? Now I'm still ready to give her the benefit of doubt on honesty, just wondering why no outrage from some of you on this. On being crazy that's a sure deal.

I heard that story this morning. My first thought was she probably knows she's served long enough to be guaranteed a full pension for life so what's the point of continuing? Kind of like a lot of school teachers and other public servants. They really care until they get to retirement age and then poof! they bail out ASAP even though they're still young.

Aside from that, I haven't thought about her since last summer.

I'm too busy helping Tony Weiner with his comeback to worry about Michelle.....

She's a politician! She's no different than any other criminal in Washington.

I disagree. She was probably really hot 30 years ago.

LAST EDITED ON May-29-13 AT 09:14PM (MST)[p]Bachmann has those wild eyes, with some provocation I bet she could really come unglued.
You know that old saying,"Crazy in the head, Crazy in bed"

No obsession with Palin or Bachmann. I just find it interesting in spite of all their obvious flaws an dishonesty we continue to give them more opportunities. The same holds true of Wiener and 5 or 6 others I can think of they should disappear from opportunity from elected office or making money off of politics, but they seldom do. The public speaking opportunities now kick in and the high speaking fees. It just makes me wonder democrat or republican why we're not just done with them. They always rise again like the Phoenix.

You're right Eel sometimes I wonder why I continue to come back, not much difference in me working or not pay wise. I still enjoy most things about my job other than the fact I have limited out of state hunting time in the fall. I get asked all the time when am I retiring, to me it just seems 65 is the retirement age unless the physical nature of the job makes it impossible to do well.

Corn, did you just admit you are a liberal? :)

Seriously, the Liberal attack and smear machine was absolutely disgusting with both of them.

They were 2 mid level politicians (ability wise and experience), but, because they were conservative and attractive the filthy liberal hate machine obsessed over them.

If anyone with half a brain cant see that, then there is no hope for you to be anything but a lock step partisan.

Mid Level politicians? One ran for the nomination to president and the other was on the ballot for VP of the United States.

Both punched their tickets to making millions by saying totally outrageous things and the press jumped on them for their outrageous comments.

Bachmann is way smarter than Palin and she is going to make millions more. Her video pulling out of the races is funny.

I figured that someone would comment on the (mid level) comment, I just figured it would be someone without reading comprehension skills. Nemont I believe you have them. In parentheses I put (ability wise and experience).

Regarding their "outrageous" comments, everything they said was dissected. They were scrutinized (especially Palin) at a insane level. At a level that no other modern politician has been subject to.

They both should have faded away on merit, instead of the media demonizing them.

Similar to Obama, he also should have faded away on merit, but, the media chose to give him a pass on his past and all the stupid things he has said and build him up to something he is not as well.

Sorry if you disagree, to me it was completely self evident

I read it just fine but here the deal: on the national stage everything they says was always going to be dissected and amplified because A. They are Republicans, B. They are Women and C. they said things that were out of the mainstream.

I agree that Obama is a mid level politician. It also appears he is a horrible administrator that is unaware of the mechanics of governing.

I don't believe parentheses were properly used in your first post.

I really am not that concerned whether I'm labeled a liberal or conservative because the gap on what is either is so large. For example I wouldn't like to be listed as a liberal in step with most of the Cali. Hollywood crowd, on the other hand I wouldn't want to be in step with the Fred Phelps, Rick Santorum, Sarah Pali, Michelle Bachmann conservatives.

I get the ability wise statement my problem is what does that say about conservatives in general. These are the leaders and often spokesperson even though they lack ability. I would say the same about some of the liberal leaders Pelosi, Boxer, Frank etc.. We have become so concerned with labeling someone liberal or conservative we have forgot the vast majority, the moderates. With my opening statement that I'm not for any more gun control I believe that slants me away from the liberal side.

Give me a conservative politician with what you would classify as ability. It certainly wouldn't be Romney if he's still listed as a conservative which he isn't.

I cannot disagree with any of that except questioning my parentheses usage. We will need an English major to be the final judge. :) Corn??

Corn, I was kidding about the Liberal comment, though I sincerely believe you "lean" to the left.

Off the top of my head. Paul Ryan. He had the resume for the position he was applying for.

Opening statement concerning gun control was on the RELH GB thread. I've reread my post and can't come up with anything in it that seems liberal.

The evil liberal press nailed Weiner just as hard as the two conservative clowns. Weiner also wasn't ever in the running to be the next POTUS as Palin and Bachmann were.

Why would she be afraid of the ethics committee? Their rulings and findings haven't seem to bother Rep. Wrangell at all.

Agreed Will I always thought the ethics committee needed to have more power. Murtha got away from the ABSCAM scandal of late 70's because it was a party line vote. Even a vote of censure means little for a real punishment.

I love how liberals think Palin and Bachmann are dumb when they have Pelosi running their party. Pelosi is the dumbest person in politics.

LAST EDITED ON May-31-13 AT 09:16AM (MST)[p]As an effective Speaker of the House Pelosi was highly effective. That is why I hated her in that position. She delivered her caucus to what ever Obama wanted and she held up what ever she wanted to against Bush.

Our current Speaker can't get things that would be good for the country and good for the Republican party, on the national level, done because the Republicans in the House don't care about ever seeing a Republican in the White House again.

Then there was that one dude who was so concerned about an island becoming too populated and tipping over, what was his name again?

The real question is with Palin and Bachman gone who's Bubba's next fantasy MILF ?

Stay thirsty my friends

Dude, even you have to admit that Bubba having a fantasy about Palin or Bachman was far better then the fantasy a lib must have since they only have Pelosi or Feinstein or Hillary as their pinup girls.

RELH

You know Dude that is getting pretty bad when there is such a shortage of decent looking Democrat women politicians that you have to go outside and find "celebs" to fill in for them.

I guess they are ugly on the outside as they are on the inside. I wonder if you consider Maxine Waters a "cutie" with her down in the getto red cowboy hat.

RELH

I don't think we should elect leaders based on the hotness scale, but as a conservative it's something you can't get past. so look the hotty libs outside politics in the entertainment industry where looks do matter, it doesn't matter if they're dumb as a post we're not asking them lead the nation.

Get over your elected MILF bimbos and FOX sluts , 90% of the real hotties are libs. you're never going to hook up with any of them Bubba, so raise the bar.
