Crockpot Elk Steaks

Place Steaks in fry pan with tablespoon oil and sear for 1 minute each side. Place in Crockpot with 1 cup water and 1 package Lipton Onion soup mix. Cook on low 3 hours. Serve with Yukon Gold Baked Potatoes . My wife does this and I go crazy for the delicious fare. So very simple yet so very good.

Sounds really good. My wife does a crock pot roast with Lipton onion and dry ranch dressing. She just did it with a bear roast, good food.

With a bear roast huh? Wow! The last time I had bear it disgusted me to the point of not wanting to try it ever again. Your story has me rethinking my decision though.
