Cropping help

I would like to be able to crop photos and keep the original aspect ratio of the photo but have not yet found a program that will do this. How do those of you proficient in photo editing do this? Thanks for the help.

I use IrFanView and Digital Photo Professional from Canon for my editing. I also have access to Photoshop 7.0.

the last two programs have pre set cropping tools. In PS you can select the cropping tool, and then select image size. You can use one of the preselected sizes, i.e., 8x10, 5x7, etc., or you can use the image size and the box will only resize to the proper ratio, but you can make it any size.

You also can just type in the size you want - in inches.
