Im a bit confused, but when can I purchase one of the over the counter D zone deer tags? Can I purchase them now or is there a specific date for when purchasing tags opens for the season? Its a non-resident tag for me to hunt with some friends this year.

Yes you can buy them now as long as it is not a draw area good luck

Unrestricted or restricted zones you can buy over the counter now. Premium (like D6) you put in for in the draw process then the tag will be mailed to you after the draw.
