Are all oval track races as un-eventful as the Daytona 500 was? I had not watched a race since the mid 90's. I wathced the 500 on Sunday and it seemed much less interesting than I remember. Hardly any passing, just a line of cars driving in a circle. Darn near anytime someone made an attempt to pass they got left behind. As soon as the leaders would get some seperation and I thought there might be some action as they had to pass lap traffic, there was a yellow flag becasue someone saw a sandwich wrapper on the track. Everyone would bunch up again and it would repeat. Seemed like it was an endurance test of the car more than driver skill. Are they all like this anymore? Are road coarses more intersting. How is this so popular?
