Deer area 82 help

My 13 year old son drew a deer tag for Region W. We are planning on hunting area 82 from Oct 8-11. This will be his first buck, so he would be thrilled to get a 16" wide 3x3 or 4x4. We are tacking this on to an antelope hunt, so will only have a couple of days. I got maps of the area, but am a little overwhelmed about where to start. Any help with tactics for that time of the year or some areas to narrow our focus would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

try walk in areas on savery creek and battle mountain, the deer numbers are down after winter 07'/08', there will be thousands of hunters in that unit driving roads mostly, but if you find a walk in area, or hunt battle mountian or little horse mountain where you can walk in a ways you will be better off.
