deer load

I am going to work up a load for deer. Woundering if someone has found a good load that I can start out with. I'm shooting a T/C blackdiamond XR, shooting sabots in 250 gr range, pyrodex pellets, 209 primers. What powder/bullet combination?

caryo15: You forgot something very important; what caliber are you shooting, why pellets, what brand of primer, who's sabot and what color is it?

There is no magic answer to your question. If you will bear with me we will find out what YOUR gun likes. Give me all the info you can and then we will get you squared away. If you're hunting for mulies you should be in the ballpark at 250-295 grain bullet.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-01-02 AT 10:37PM (MST)[p]50 cal, pellets because of the convenience, Remington primer, the sabot - thats what I am going to find out. I know every gun is different, but many will be compareable.
