I sent an email to Game and Fish and this was their response:
Thank you for your inquiry. There has been some talk in the past by a few organizations of raffling off a "Day with the Wildlife Manager (AZ's term for Game Warden)," but there has not been any formal inquiry to do so. Also, anyone that wants a ride-along experience with a Wildlife Manager can generally do so by contacting and setting up a date through one of our 6 Regional Offices. This type of activity is highly encouraged by the Department. However, we would not be supportive of nor authorize the helicopter survey participation idea as you suggest.
Helicopter surveys are very structured, expensive, involve high
liability that simply can't be waived, and each Department occupant in the helicopter is a trained observer with a critical mission necessary for the survey effort. Please feel free to call me if you have any other questions and thanks for your support of wildlife conservation in Arizona.
