Three-time paralympian Angela Madsen, 60, died earlier this week while attempting a solo row across the Pacific Ocean.

Some people are afraid to fly, Homer. Much safer for a solo paraplegic to jump in the water to fix his/her anchor half way between LA and Hawaii.

On the other hand, if I was in a row boat 1,200 miles from the nearest land I'd probably just jump in too and be done with it.
