Winter weakens and spring kills. That first week of good green-up is really going to hurt.

To each their own. I have no desire to shoot a doe muledeer, cow moose, or ewe. But I like doe antelope and cow elk. Both make great family and kid hunts. If the populations are strong why not. Get out, have fun, and get some good ratting meat.

People won't quit hunting for handful of years and people won't quit building on critical winter range.

What is better for the deer herd today than it was 20 years ago?
I think we may have experienced the best year of hunting for many years last year in these hard hit areas.
Would gladly be wrong though.
