Does next January's archery coues tag count as 2011 or 2012?

If you buy one of the archery only nonpermit coues deer tags for the January 1-31, 2012 hunt, which license year does that go towards? The reason I ask is, a group of us NR's are looking into appling for a rifle tag this fall, and one guy has a January archery hunt lined up. We aren't finding it specifically stated in the online regs. I assume he will have to chose between this fall rifle or January archery since the tags are in this years regulations.

Thanks

It is 1 deer per calendar year so if you fill your tag in the fall of 2011 or even in december 2011 it starts all over January 1, 2012 so you could do both!

The archery Jan. hunt counts for 2012. He can put in for rifle deer and kill a deer in the fall of 2011 and still go and kill an archery deer in Jan. 2012. He will have to buy a hunting license for 2011 for the fall draw and a hunting license for the Jan. 2012 hunt. If he kills in Jan. 2012, he is done for 2012 and cannot hunt deer in AZ again until Jan. 2013. Hope this makes sense.
