I helped out an older gentleman with a NV bull tag last week. He wasn't 100% mobile so it made it a little rough. Opening day we didnt see a single elk. Second day we arrived before daylight. After only about 3 minutes we spotted the largest heard I have ever seen. I lost count after 350 and I guess the heard to be 500. Fish and game said that every elk in a 40 mile radius was in that heard. We spotted them from 3 to 4 miles away and about 10 other hunters were already on them. It looked like cowboys herding cows. All the elk started single file off the top and created an elk train over half a mile long. We just sat still and let the elk come to us. The bull we ended up killing ran 204 yards from us and that's was it for him. He isn't a monster at all but is very strange. On his right side he has two 36 inch main-beams. One with 3 points and the other with two. Both are equally heavy. The left has 6 points but the G3 is slid over like a muley cheater. F&G looked at him and told us it was genetic and not an injury cause deformity. I have added one pic but will add some good ones as I get them. Enjoy!
