There will not be a printed Antlerless guidebook this year. Everything you'll need in order to apply (dates, maps, hunt tables, boundaries, etc.) will be on the DWR website by May 24. That will be about a week before the application opens on June 1. I'll post a follow-up message/link here as soon as the Antlerless information and resources are available. You can read more about it in the Field Regs guidebook article on page 3, "Where's my Antlerless Guidebook?"

That seems a like a lighter punishment than I've seen you suggest in other posts, Bess. You might be mellowing out with all this nice spring weather! ;-)

Thanks for taking the time to read through it, Joe. We've been trying to make the guidebooks easier to read and understand, but we still have some work to do in a few places. Thanks again!

Right now, the rule has it as 300 grains, but if you want to suggest/discuss a possible rule change, visit your local Division office and talk to the biologists and law-enforcement officers. Thanks for taking the time to review.
