Drew a mule deer tag!

Been checking out this forum off and on for a lot of year but I've never posted. I finally have a reason too. About 11 years ago I decided I wanted to go hunting in the west. So I picked a couple states and started building points. Well I finally drew a tag. I drew a unit 81 mule deer archery tag. Not 100% sure what I have but it looks like a pretty good tag. I'm starting to second guess my decision to apply for archery hunt. I'm use to hunting whitetail from a tree stand. But regardless I'm excited to hunt something different. So if anybody could share any tips on getting a mule deer into bow range in November it would be greatly appreciated. November can't come soon enough!

I assume you mean 081.
I will be there this year on the muzzleloader hunt. I was there last year on the rifle hunt. If you want to PM me I can give you my thoughts on the archery hunt.

I believe that is a late hunt? December??

Some of the deer migrate in from Unit 7, Idaho and Utah. So weather helps, but it can hurt too. Deep snow you can't get around. Cold weather after a snow and the snow gets crusty and you can't stalk.

But you drew a great, very hard to draw tag.

The dates for this hunt are November 10-20. I've never been on a mule deer hunt so as of right now my expectations are pretty low. I'm just hoping for a fun adventure.
