Ok,
I'm sure everyone who hunts the central deer unit knows about the changed/ short dates, in the nebo loop area.
this is supposedly to help with the buck/doe ratio.
this i understandable, short hunt should mean lower harvest numbers.
but why then are there still doe tags? is this to pad the buck to doe ratio? instead of managing the heard just wipe out the does to get the ratio numbers in check?
doe's = bucks right or wrong?
why not close the whole thing for a year and see what that does?
didn't we learn on the SE region that a 5 day hunt DID NOT LOWER THE HARVEST numbers? it actually increased the total reported bucks taken, and the number of 1-2 year bucks actually doubled.
i guess i don't get the big picture
