Dust spots on imgs - How do I clean the sensor?

I have started to have a lot of little dust looking spots on my images.

Its not on the lens. I don't know much about digital workings, but I think they are on the digital sensor, if there is such a thing.


Is this a situation I can correct myself? Or do I need to send the camera off to a pro shop?

Its a canon 20D w/ a efs 17-85mm lens.


Here is a pic that hopefully shows the spots pretty well.

Can you guys recomend any photo forums where a guy can keep up to date with things withouot a lot of bs?

Go to a camera store and buy a rocket blaster 10-15 bucks, lock up your mirror on the camera, hold the camera upside down, (lens mount down) and then puff air into it with the rocket blaster. Seems to work pretty well,
