Good day.
I'll be heading to Colorado for a DIY mule deer bowhunt in late August. My intent is to bivy in for 4-5 days at a time. Will be hunting at elevations fom 8,000'-9,500'.
Question is, what is apprpriate clothing for such a hunt? My previous trips to Colorado have been a couple weeks later in the season at slightly higher elevations for elk. Wore alot of cotton camo on those trips...but always hunted from a base camp stocked with plenty of clothes.
I have a couple sets of Cabelas MTP mid-weight base layers and some of their Outfitter Microfleece tops and pants. I bought these items for layering in cold weather here at home. Being polyesther, these would dry out much quicker than cotton. Just seems like they might be a bit heavy for late August?
What are your recommendations?
Thanks,
Paul
