Okydoky folks I thought I would share this for your reading pleasure. This is how YOU are being demonized.
https://www.foxnews.com/us/californ...rs-after-preying-on-sheep-sparks-fiery-debate
Notice how a rancher that shoots an animal eating livestock is immediately identified as a "hunter" although there is no season or tag for lions in the state.
Second notice how the bunnyhugger claims the lion was more valuable than the lost livestock. They are doing that to combat the claim that hunting gives wildlife value so that wildlife is then protected. They are loosing the argument over what has more value hunted wildlife or non-hunted wildlife so they are repeating these lies. Can anyone name a single person that has ever paid money to go to California on a mountain lion viewing trip?
The fact is this. The mountain lions in California hold no measurable fiscal value to Californians. They hold a value to a very small segment of society which either gets grant money to study them or uses them as pawns in a lobby and lawsuit enterprise scheme.
What would they do if we wrote articles the way they do? Lets take this quote from the article for instance.
"Quinton Martins, a big cat expert who runs the Living with Lions program, stressed the importance of educating landowners about the value of mountain lions and encouraging them to keep their properties secure during the cats' prime hunting hours."
Lets re-write that so everyone can get the picture to this.
"Quinton Martins, a gay rich guy that doesn't have to work his butt off everyday to feed a family like this rancher, and a big cat expert who runs the Living with Lions program, stressed the importance of educating landowners about the value of mountain lions and encouraging them to keep their properties secure during the cats' prime hunting hours, because Martins' rich ass isn't going to reimburse some broke Mexican for a problem his self-righteous agenda caused."
There. I like my version better.
