EOTech magnifiers

Anyone have input on their 3x or 4x magnifiers for the hologram weapon sights? I have the HWS on my AR10 and really like it, now I want some magnification for the far shots. They aren't cheap I know, anyone know why the 4x is almost twice a$ expen$ive a$ the 3x?? They are cool, with a flip-to-side mount system, can use them if needed in a jiffy.
Any input would be appriciated.
