Ewe Bighorn video

My daughter drew the 213 Ewe tag.

The NDOW website says that Ewe tag holders will have to watch a video seminar prior to getting the tag.

Does anyone know when, where or how that is accomplished?

We are both pretty pumped for that tag, and will be getting down there in a couple weeks before it gets too hot. It has been a few years since I have been in that unit.

NDOW will send you the information. they are really interested in the health of the animals. I drew 212 a couple years ago and they requested several tissue samples. I drew 268 again this year. The first year NDOW had a class in identification of sex.

Congrats on the ewe tags guys.

I assume part of the video is to point out how it can be confusing to pick a ewe out when there are yearling (1.5 yr old) rams mixed in a group. They sometimes hang out together and yearling ram horns can look very ewe-like especially from a direct front-on view.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I did find the Power Point presentation that NDOW puts out in regards to that. My daughter had no problem with telling the difference.

She is gone for the week, so when she gets back, we will check her email and see if there is a link to what she needs to do to release the tag.
