I want to apply for tags at the Expo. In 2011 I will be in my second year of the Dedicated Hunter program. The registration says I need a hunting tag but I won't do my service hours for this year until later. What do I do?

Buy your annual hunting or combination license and put in for the expo tags. You need a hunting or combo license to apply, not your deer tag. Hope that answers your question.

The requirement is that you have a valid 365 day combination license (hunting and fishing) or regular hunting license to apply for the expo tags, NOT a deer tag or dedicated hunter deer tag.

You need a valid combo or hunting license to apply for any tags in the regular drawing as well. The combo license/hunting license can be bought online at any time or purchased at any authorized license dealer throughout the state and is good for 365 days from the date you buy it.

Just go online and buy the license and then apply for the expo tags.
