Anybody have some pics of deer taken on the front. Just want to see what to expect since it's my first year hunting it. Would you shoot the first buck you see or hold out for something a little bigger?

JUST GO GIVE IT A SHOT!!

EXPECT TO SEE ALOT OF YOUNG 4 POINT THAT NEVER REACH MATURITY!!

EXCEPT THERE ARE ALOT THAT DO THOUGH!!

DEPENDING WHERE YOUR AT !!!

WATCH OUT FOR STRAY ARROWS ACROSS THE CANYON !!

THE ONLY huntercameron WONDERING IF THERE THAT DESPERATE TOWARDS THE END OF THE HUNT !!!

WATCH OUT FOR ASS , AND LEGS HITS FROM 130 YARDS !!

THE ONLY huntercameron THAT HAS WITNESSED 6 BUCKS LAST WINTER IN ONE WEEK DRAGGING THEMS SELFS AFTER THE HUNT ENDED !!

Went up again to night and still didn't see a deer but we saw some sign and heard a couple take off through the trees.

I'm with D13 on this.
The extended hunt can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Those deer hardly ever see a human. Those mountains are so steep, so rugged, so deep in timber the deer just get enormous. The first deer you see might be a flippin monster. Depends all on the snow.
If i wasn't moving to california at the end of this year i would go for sure.

San Diego. But I can't wait to see what kind of hunting Northern California has to offer for sure.
