Federal "Water Grab" Legislation Poised To Advance

The Oberstar-Feingold bill to "super-size" the Clean Water Act and take away nearly all state authority over local waters is set to move in the U.S. Senate. Markup of the bill could come as soon as next week. The Waters Advocacy Coalition,

of which the Roundtable is a member, is placing ads against this legislation in Washington, D.C. starting this week. We also launched a grassroots alert to more than 500,000 citizens nationwide helping them shower Capitol Hill with communications against this dangerous bill. This includes an on-line citizens' petition

that allows citizens to send an email communications opposing the bill directly to targeted officials.

All part of the grand plan. If this passes we will see the first move to build a pipeline from the northwest to California. That will trigger some revolutionary thinking in that part of the country for sure.
