Ferris Mountains Guide??

Can anyone tell me if a guide is needed for a non-resident to hunt in the Ferris Mtns? It is listed as a "wilderness study area." Is that difference than "wilderness"?

No guide required. A wilderness study area is an area that is deliniated where management emphasizes "wilderness values" so that it eventually can be eligible to become a wilderness area.
