Flattops early rifle deer hunt

Just wondering if anyone has ever done it and what can be expected from the hunt.

Very tough hunt to find deer. I've had the tag, I killed deer but very tough to find them. Not worth the 4 or 5 points it takes now, it took 2 when I drew it. Beautiful country but I'd look elsewhere. There are early rifle tags that take less points and hold better deer.

A buddy always packs into the flattops in the late elk seasons so he knows the area. So I was just wondering what the early deer season might be like. I have more than enough points to draw the tag. I am just ready to do a deer hunt even if it takes less points than what I have to draw the tag.
