Follow up on the weirdest poker hand.

Something dirty was happening they just can't get to the bottom of it.
Maybe- or it was just done as a marketing stunt to promote the show. Even if she knew his cards, he still had 21 outs left to beat her and she allowed it to run twice giving him a 70% chance to hit one of the cards to beat her. Nobody at that level of play risks over 100K in that position. I think it was just a marketing stunt.

He wasn't trying to beat her hand. It was a bluff.

Gambling has gone to a new low this year it seems. Just look at some of the UFC fights over the last couple of months. Darrick Minner threw a fight...faked an injury. Paddy Pimblett, the new UFC Conor McGregor, got his ass handed to him by Jared Gordon yet won a unanimous decision. Pretty bad....nothing surprises me anymore.

It was a pretty low risk semi bluff with an opened ended straight flush draw. He made the move knowing he had a decent chance of winning the hand even if she had 3 of a kind or two pair as 15 outs (32% chance) remained that could beat those hands. He didn't know he actually had 21 outs because even pairing either of his lower hole cards would also give him the best hand.

Note to self.....don't play cards with DaveD.

It has absolutely nothing to do with what he was hoping would develop in the hand.

It has everything to do with how she plaid her hand. Nobody plays that hand the way she did unless they know the exact hand he was holding. And certainly not for 250,000.

The math dictates that even a cheater who knew his hole cards would have folded.

I do understand what you are saying. My point is even if she knew what was in his hand, she would realize she was a serious underdog after the flop, especially knowing the river would likely be run twice. I guess if she somehow knew what the turn and river were going to be, it would make sense.

My point is some of these reality TV shows are staged at least to some degree. This is one of the more popular ones. The publicity they are gaining out of this is worth considerably more than the value of that hand.

To another point, if you are going to cheat and have inside info, why do it on such an obviously weird hand like that where your play would be completely scrutinized?

I'll agree, something is fishy but guessing it isn't what it seems.

True, unless she somehow knew what the river card(s) were going to be too. They ran it twice.

But it makes no sense to pull off a cheat with her hand. Wait for a better spot.

Live stream poker is sketchy big time. I wouldn't play for money on online poker either.

If she called his all in with Jack/4 she was either tired of playing and needed to get home to her kids or she's an idiot....I don't see how she could've known what was coming in the deck....especially running it twice.

ever consider she just had no idea what she was doing and it worked out?
That is a possibility for sure. And actually, her Jack high had him beat. I think he went all in thinking a normal player couldn't stand the heat. Women are too dum....unpredictable. :ROFLMAO:

If the investigation found nothing obvious (after all, the casino investigated itself, kind of like the Biden administration) Garrett should give the money back. No mention of that.

This is a woman who was funded by another professional poker player at the table. This wasn't her first time playing in this high stakes game. She absolutely understood... Someone doesn't go play for 6 figures or back another player for a 6 figure stack, if all involved don't understand the game very well.

Or you are part of the rigging

I read that Paige van zant made more in one day on only fans than her whole fighting career.

Robbi not the usual pasty white dude or Asian dude. The "girls" are out, she plays up her sex appeal.

Publicity is the point, good or bad doesn't matter.

She was in a win win position and I'm guessing made 10x the money.

I watched the hand and don't know how she could have possibly been in that hand. She even said she thought he had Ace high! She called knowing she had a losing hand if that is really what she thought. She's either really dumb, really lucky or a genius.

.I mean, even if she knew his cards, he still had a bunch of outs to beat her, and running it twice gave him a decent shot at a comeback. It's hard to believe someone at that level of play would take such a huge risk, especially with over 100K on the line.Honestly, I'm leaning toward it being a marketing stunt, too. Poker's full of surprises, but this one feels a bit too scripted. If you're into gambling, you should totally They've got some real gaming action going on.
That's probably more secure and honest than our electronic voting machines.
