House Bill 2238 said the revenue from the proposed tax would fund programs to prevent suicide and firearm-related domestic violence​

You can bet your last dollar that a good portion of those fees will end up in the general fund to support pet projects of those liberal politicians. democrats are very good at feeding false information as to where the higher tax fees will go as they know most voters will not read the small print of the bill before passing it.

That's their way of punishing people they don't like. Put a tax on ammo with the reason being to prevent suicide and firearm related domestic violence. That way people won't push back too hard. Remember when California raised tobacco taxes to pay for poor children's health care? It's all a big con job. Same thing with charging for every bag you use at a store to save the environment.

They made it so a guy can't quit smoking. Think of the poor children you'd be hurting if you quit.

In the spirit of the 2nd Amendment, Congress should pass a new tax. A 5% flat income tax for every Federal Employee. The money to be used to help lower income citizens purchase a firearm of their choice.
