http://www.examiner.com/a-536474~_Trapped_between_two_worlds_.html

From 'Dreams of My Father',
"I CEASED TO ADVERISE MY MOTHER'S RACE AT THE AGE OF12 OR 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites"

From Dreams of My Father, " I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER'S RACE".

From 'Dreams of my Father', "The emotion between the races could never be pure..... the THE OTHER RACE (WHITE) WOULD ALWAYS REMAIN JUST THAT: MENACING, ALIEN AND APART"

From Dreams Of My Father, "never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. IT WAS INTO MY FATHER'S IMAGE , THE BLACK MAN, THE SON OF AFRICA, THAT I'D PACKED ALL THE ATTRIBUTES I SOUGHT IN MYSELF.

From Dreams Of My Father:
"THAT HATE HADN'T GONE AWAY," he wrote, BLAMING WHITE PEOPLE,- SOME CRUEL, SOME IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives."

From Dreams Of My Father;
"There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, TO SHOW YOUR LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT, and name names"

From Dreams Of My Father, "I had grown accustomed, everywhere, to SUSPICIONS BETWEEN THE RACES.."

Quote from Barack Obama's book, Dreams Of My Father:
"The person who made me proudest of all, though, was [half brother] Roy .. He converted to Islam."

From 'Dreams of my Father', "In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school"
"I studied the Koran.."

From 'Audacity of Hope: "Lolo (Obama's step father) followed a brand of Islam ...."I looked to Lolo for guidance".

From 'The Audacity Of Hope, "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

From The Audacity Of Hope, "We are no longer just a Christian nation," "We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers."

LAST EDITED ON Feb-13-08 AT 10:17AM (MST)[p]I do believe that the super-brother has some identity issues. He's got people mesmerized, yet there is no real political experience there.

Might be good for America to experience some good old fashioned socialism, though. Once they see their taxes going to feed and care for the sloth and illegals in this country, and downsizing the military while China and Russia are building up to a new arms race, perhaps they will wake up. (Yeah, right).

Hopefully he will take us out of the ME as well. Let Iran and our other enemies step in and have that strategic foothold.

Me thinks we are truly and totally effed!

Thanks to all that voted or are planning to vote for this new Messiah.

Some of it is a little disturbing but most of it was written almost 15 years ago, if I had grown up half black instead of half indian maybe I'd have said some things I regret, hell for that matter I did. as long as he's grown out of it and it appears he has I'm not going to sweat it, he's going to be the president not a dictator he still has to answer to congress and the voters. I'm not exited about him but I'm not worried either.

Some of it he's correct about, we are no longer a Christian nation , that's a fact you can't hold that against him. so what if he's studied the Muslim religion, maybe unlike Bush he knows something about them. little things like the Sunni and Shiite will fight given the chance, stuff like that might come in handy when you're starting wars .

Don't fear people, if Obama starts getting someone nervous in the whitehouse.......we're long over due for an assasination.

Dude you and your boy Obama are wrong.
This nation has never been stricktly a Christian nation. It has and remains a nation of many beliefs; However the over whelming majority of Americans consider themselves Christian. The last poll I saw said 80% of Americans percieve themselves as Christians.

I like how people only picks out a sentence here and a sentence there from an ENTIRE BOOK(oh excuse me, 2 BOOKS) and then tries to generalize a person based on those few sentences.
