Anyone ever hunted the september deer season in the frank? What can you expect as far as deer?
100% the wrong spot.1 buck a day is pretty poor. Outfitters are seeing 20-30 a day... maybe your in the wrong spot.
That’s really the issue in there. The map doesn’t begin to do that vastness of the church justice and every drainage does not have deer and elk in it. Guys look at a topi and figure man 3 miles in and we’ll be killing it. Not even scratching the surface of that place.100% the wrong spot.
I agree with you, we were in about 11 miles, there are easier places to hunt deer in Idaho. That’s really the issue in there. outfitters may well see more deer per day. But there not seeing 20-30 bucks a day during the September hunt this guys asking about. Maybe on the late hunt if you have a solid migration route pegged in there. But again, it’s vast. Can take you a years figure it out and it ain’t an easy place to navigate.
