What gear would you put in?(Good when it came out and still good now.)I'll start:

Clothes

1)Smartwool socks;

2)Patagonia Capilene base layers; and

3)Stormy Kromer hat.

Equipment

1)Petzl headlights;

2)Leatherman multitool; and

3)Wyoming bone saw.

I'd have throw in Swarovski Bino's and spotting scopes.

I'd also have put Crooked Horn Outfitters Bino Harness on the list.

I second the Camelback...made for faster and farther hikes. Spawned a lot of other good systems. One of those inventions that you question why you hadn't done it first.

Titanium, from spoons and forks to rifles. The less weight I have to carry, the deeper in the wood I can get. Water filters, treatments are also high on my list.

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Portable cook stoves, lightweight tents, blow up sleep pad that goes under your sleeping bag, Gortex. fatrooster.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-18-09 AT 10:50AM (MST)[p]Spotlights have dramatically inproved my kill ratio. Kind off like how alcohol and roofies have improved my sex life:) (JK about the spotlighting) LOL

I forgot one, Zip up snake boots. My fellow southern hunters will totally agree with this selection.

Lungs and legs,

All of the rest of the stuff is worthless without them. I'm not talking about just having a functioning pair, I'm talking about the work put in to make em work really well.

Bean

Breathrite nasal strips. Don't laugh!

They allow my tentmates to sleep without my snoring!

Without a doubt it's my Yamaha Rhino:
