General Elk Outfitter recommendation?

Hey guys - I have never hunted in WY before and I applied for a General Elk tag.

I am debating hiring a guide or outfitter since my time is going to be limited and I have never hunted up there before. I will be hunting solo, so Im kinda trying to decide whether to come up there alone and hire a packer if I am lucky enough to get a bull down or if there is an economical priced local guide that has an opening.

You cant swing a dead cat around without hitting an elk in Wyoming...no matter the unit.

Any amount of half-arsed effort and you'll kill an elk...period.

BuzzH - Thanks for the feedback. I plan on putting in a ton of effort, so maybe DIY is the way to go for me. I would love to save the money and use it on another hunt next year.
