I know he's not what most would consider a monster by any stretch of the imagination but I was lucky enough to have all 4 of my kids with me as well as my wife which made the kill that much greater. I has hunted my a-- off during the elk hunt so I was feeling lazy opening day and decided to stay in the truck. I had passed on a dozen or so smaller bucks throughout the day. In the evening we decided to drive on a road that I had heard was as nasty as can be but in my Powerstroke with 37" mud tires and 8" of lift (that long wheelbase can do some incredible things) I knew we would be ok. It was just about dark when I spotted several bucks walking through the quakies and could tell one was decent. All my kids were so excited I had to jump out of my truck, sit down right in the muddy road and have my 300 mag sing his tune. Down he went from only about 250 yards and the high fives began! He's a funny buck that is a 4x7 25" wide and has a neat fishhook on his left side. Let me know what you all think of it. Thanks If your family will go take them because they make the world go round!
