So, in the commission meeting last Saturday, Commissioner Mori asked one of the Biologists what would happen next year if they went with the dept recs on deer and they were successful getting buck ratios down to thirty.
The biologist response was: You will see a reduction in tags next year.
So......... if that happens....... are we gonna see a reversal in bitching, where the opportunity hunters are mad and the trophy hunters are happy?
People have short memories. There will be people on here next year saying what a crappy job NDOW does because tag numbers are down. When if reality that is what we should expect.
This should be a 1 year culling operation, if it works the way it should.

That's what I got out of it. Seems to me that there are going to be complaints no matter how you stack it. I say if we have that many excess bucks to hunt them while you can, rather them be in somebody's freezer than rotting in the hills because of a bad winter or something.

So, if you pull a tag, enjoy it bercause you might not have got it next year. If you don't, anticipate the less crowded higher quality hunt conditions next year... All is good when the decisions are out of your hands
