My girlfriend told me all summer that she wanted to start hunting. We got her started shooting a bow, and bought a new rifle. Practiced all summer with both. She struck out on the archery hunt(a few misses) We were able to find this respectable general season buck after a good early October snow. She made a great 200 yd shot and dropped him in his tracks right at last light on top of a pretty nasty burnt ridge. We returned the next morning to pack him out. She surprised the heck out of me how tough she actually was. I think I have a new hunting partner!
