We filled our tag @ 9:30 this morning with a good size oryx, with small broken horns ( about 6" and 12" ) but LOTS of meat.
She was bedded down ~50 yds off the road behind some bushes, and I had to get out of the truck in full sight, AND get 40 feet off the road, all with her watching.
When I was about 25 feet off the road and about 100 yds from her, she stood up, so I moved as quickly as possible the rest of the way directly from the road (more like ran the 15 feet), she spun 180 degrees from south to north, and I put one in the boiler room.
When we cleared the check in at about 11AM ( we had skinned our oryx at the top of the hill ), there were only 5 successful hunters so far including us, with the biggest cow going 36".
When we left, the wind was starting to pick up pretty good, so I don't know how much movement there was going to be for the rest of the day.
Good Luck to those who haven't filled yet, and congrats to those who have.
