I just wanted to say goodbye to all on this forum. Some of you are good people. Some are not. I doubt if any will miss me; I didn't post a whole lot and I'm sure Zigga won't miss me, but anyway I'm leaving. This forum has gotten too cutthroat; too much arguing and no real information passed. I give this site a few more years and it will be crap. The mods have let it get out hand and now all people do is cut other people down. So I am leaving. If the mods would delete my profile, that would be great. If not, it will be inactive until eternity...this is my final post.

I see posts such as yours on EVERY website I have been to. If you find one that things that you describe don't happen, let me know. Yes, you might have to get a litle thicker skin for sites like MM, but I don't let anyone elses opinion ever bother me. This is an internet forum, not a group of friends shooting the bull over a campfire or a group of coworkers. If someone strongly dissagrees with me, or rags on me, so what? Why should I care? I believe what I believe and don't back down from those positions.

If posters truely break the rules and do nothing but insult people, I have quietly reported them to the mods, and they have been dealt with. For those that are just obnoxious, I simply do not read or respond to their posts. You can't win an argument with a stump!

I HAVE TO CHUCKLE A BIT WHEN A MM GUY GIVES A FAREWELL SPEECH, I'V HEARD A BUNCH OF THEM OVER THE YEARS. ITS NOT A PERFECT WORLD WE LIVE IN, HE'LL BE BACK........YD.
 
This is still the best hunting site there is. People keep saying it is going down hill but the registered users (numbers) keep going up.

Why take anything too serious here? Its just the internet!
 
Yeah I think this is by far the most active ,fun, western big game hunting site oin the WWW. There are times where threads get heated but it is what it is. Thick skin is a plus , but if you don't like a thread or topic, stay out of it , don't respond.I feel the Mods do a pretty good job policing the forums , they don't get paid to handle us and we can and do get testy so I'm thinking they deserve a "Thank You" first before ever putting them down for doing a poor job.
Also I feel that this is still the most helpful informative site , heck guys even help you out with mis spelling (wink,wink)...I agree with Yukon , even if they don't respond for a while , they still log into this site and read and sooner or later re-register with a new name.
 
These make me laugh also. "The Farewell Speech!" Ha! I agree he is reading every day.

What cracks me up, is guys like this think he is going to be missed? I may go shed a tear knowing I may never hear from this guy again.
 
Good grief, what's the world coming to when a little arguing on the interenet hurts someone's feeling to the point they just can't take it anymore. with the exception of a couple guys here I think are self medicating there isn't anyone I wouldn't sit down and have a beer with, lighten up it's just for fun.

Read Forkwests Thread about Yelum

Think this site is a bad one??? I'm sorry but I just finished reading Forkwest's Thread about Yelum.Guys/gals , it just doesn't get any better than that. Monster Muleys has the best of people right here. Yep many of us can get testy , but heck , so be it. If a person is in need other than "asking a person exactly where they can shoot that Booner", I have to say there is just so many helpful friendly people here. As mentioned above, all internet sites have the bashing and arguement but this site stays true and the members keep it that way.....

This puzzles me. I often disagree with 202, Pro, and others and they call me a lib or socialist but I really don't take it personally, maybe I should. I respect everyone on here and their opinions even though I think some of them are wrong. My theory is that Bush caused this whole thing and let me explain how.

The Terrible piece of legislation that the Bush Administration wrote called No Child Left Behind includes a section on teaching disagreement resolution solution. This basically is supposed to teach that disagreement is bad because someone's feelings get hurt. Old Man of the Hills probably is a Bush Bunny and bought into disagreement resoulution solution and the rest of Bush's plan. When it didn't work like most of Bush's ideas he decided to give up. So you see even on MonsterMuleys it truly is Bush's fault.

Sorry to tell you this, but, these sites thrive on controversy just like any other communication medium.

There was an outdoor site, where the main guy got tired of the bickering and got heavy handed. Pretty soon all the colorful guys were gone and all that was left was us boring aholes that dont get into stupid arguments very often.
You can hear the crickets chirping on the other site now.
The rowdies opened their own site and now argue with each other. You tell me which is more entertaining.

As far as information being passed around I believe that is secondary to the entertainment. What would we do if we didnt have Bobcatbess and his 14 impersonators, D13, Huntingdude "Hillarydude" and the rest of the crazies. It would be boring as hell.

Cant look for TV to entertain us, unless parrots knocking guys off of cliffs does it for you.
 
Man, a lot of this is probably my fault. I have been known to be, well, argumentative. It's true I have on ocassion delved into indirect character assassination and have at times been less than socially acceptable.

I apologize to everyone on MM, and especially to quite recently self-departing Old_Whore_at_the_bar.

Hey it's not always my fault Old_hooker_of_the_corner. For instance let's take 202, who can explain a fella like that? Like it's my fault that he goes as untouched as a turn signal on an asian women's car!

First 202 posts "Cowboys lost as a team, they played horribly!", then the very next post is, "No doubt it was the officiating."

MAIN POINT RECAP: 202'S goes as untouched as a turn signal on an asian women's car! AND Cowboy Lose!

What the hell were we talking about...oh yeah Old_timer_the_whiner.
 
202 - Thanks for the props!! I read your post about 8 or 9 times and completely forgot what I came in here for :) This site is definitely worth sticking around and listening to the ranting. That's one paragraph.....Problem Solved!!!:) :)
 
When someone writes a farewell speech like that we should write them off like South Park wrote off Chef!
