Any of you guys had trouble connecting a Garmin Etrex Summit or Vista to your computer? The wire that Garmin provides has a "serial" cord that requires use of a USB to Serial adaptor cord. My computer went haywire when I tried to install that cord. My local guru tells me that serial cords have been obsolete for years, and the computers nowadays have no plug for them. I wish Garmin would get up to date on this. Any advice or similar experience? Thanks, Guy
