Grand Canyon Rams

A group of friends and I took a float trip through the Grand Canyon in August, 2012. It was hot. I had hoped to see any Desert Bighorns, but ended up spotting over two dozen, including these rams that walked right through our camp.

We also saw some California Condors.

The rafting guides said that their sightings of Desert Bighorns had increased significantly in the past several years since the Feds had gotten serious about limiting feral burro numbers.

This was a cool trip with many opportunities to see Nevada Bighorns.

ummmmm... I'm not a geography expert but isn't the Grand Canyon in Arizona?
