I just got back from a weekend with the family up north in NM and saw a wolf not 150 yards from my truck. I think my hound barking and her being in heat brought him around. The next morning it was about 100 yards from camp. Didn't think we had any up there...

I saw one in the Bandelier not too long after the Las Conchas fire gutted Frijoles Canyon. People are deluding themselves if they think those things don't cross I-40...

Y'all are just mean! Wolves are the heart and soul of the Gila mountains, I put in every year for the 16's with the hopes of a majestic encounter with natures perfect predator, SAID NO TRUE SPORTSMAN EVER!!!
I once had an encounter with what I assume was some type of wolf hybrid on a ranch south of Santa Fe, Once!
