Don't get me wrong here, but how many Griz does one really need to kill. I mean it's not like deer or elk; there are only so many bears, on the other hand my hats off to hunter harry! Jack

JacknJo! I have only taken One Mountain Grizz and one Kodiak Brown Bear! The other photos were cool photos that were sent to me by friends and Outfitters that live in Alaska! I liked them so much ,I thought I would share them with folks that would like to see them too! Take a poll, I won't post any more if it offends anyone! I have several more photos of 10ft plus bears! I never tire of seeing naked chicks or trophy sized big game animals!--(HunterHarry)

Rephrase that question to "just how many dogs does one man need" and it's a question I've heard repeated oft times in my years of wedded bliss. The big bears are obviously a passion of HunterHarry's and he has worked hard and sacrificed a lot to be able to hunt them. Let him indulge I say.

that's like sayin' a guy can have too much porno, too much fun, too many guns, too much money, etc. Ed does have too many of them furry thongs tho.

Years ago when my Uncle Jack was still able he invited my dad and I to Alaska to hunt bears and such. Oh I wanted a rug in the worst way but Dad wasn't interested. Today he watches some video of the pursuits and beams for his boy but still has no interest in ever dropping a hammer on a bruin.

I enjoy the enthusiam Harry and would welcome the more posts with pictures. After all, Uncle Jack hasn't hunted in years. I'm now able to make the trip and the contact is gone. He does fish for kings now and again, maybe a trip is in order?

Funny thing about time. I'm in my early 40's now and the thought of killing a Griz doesn't seem all that exciting anymore. Maybe my thong is too tight?

What a ridiculous allegation. A thong can never be too tight.

Oh yeah, and as long as the bear #s are healthy, nothing wrong with a guy who loves to hunt them getting a few in his lifetime. I hope to get one griz before i become wormfood.

My vote is for HunterHarry to keep posting. Sounded kinda like jealousy to me.

..........too much gas, too many women, too many trucks, too many fish............. i'm like Ed, not in the thong wearin' deal, the bear killin' deal. i've shot enough bears i think. dang things have too much of a personallity and get all indignant and stuff when you shoot em. i've caught em with hounds and traps, called em in, got em with a bow, rifle, pistol, etc. i'll leave for em posterity. i'll never shoot too many deer, elk, coyotes, quail or damn stinkin' lions tho.

I guess the beauty of this hayride we call life is we're all a bit different.

I shot a bear a couple years ago hunting with Ed. I thought I really wanted one for the den. Here it is, two years later and I still have no idea why I shot it. I won't shoot another, grizzly, polar, blackie, whatever... I'm also not interested in shooting another lion. I'm sure bears and lions will be shot down over my dogs by people with money in their pockets. But I'll most likely never pull the trigger again.

I guess it's the same reason my dad loves the camp, loves saddling up the horses on a cold October morning and loves riding the ridges at dawn, but has no interest in shooting a mule deer buck when it runs out in front of him. It's not about the killing for him anymore. He's shot plenty and isn't interested.

I say to each their own and if a guy so desires, shoot whatever the hell you want. Just because I'd rather shoot a grizzly or a lion with a video camera doesn't mean you have to feel the same way.

Besides, as any hound guy knows, it's all about the dogs!!! Post away HH or anyone else. It doesn't bother me a bit if you choose to shoot one or two of every species on the planet.

Just something about the big predators that fascinate me. I suppose I'm just too awestruck by a grizz to shoot one. Same with the big cats. Man, I love 'em.

Deer and elk are range maggots but fun to hunt. Deer are just wild goats and like CB says... elk are the dumbest animal on the planet. Killin' the elk is easy, getting the tag is the hard part.

I just look out at the world through a different window than most. My dream is to roll the video camera on a coastal grizzly at point blank range and see him firsthand up close. Now that could get me fired up. The killing has always been anti climatic for me, but I know for many it isn't.

But us hound guys are just alot more soft hearted and caring than most. ;-)

Leave the poor guy alone! If bears is his passion then let him have it. If I was told I could only hunt one animal the rest of my life it would be bears, I love them and think they are fun to both hunt and watch. Keep up the posts
